In 2019, she started the Summer Strings Camp in Cicero, NY for upper elementary and middle school students, where she is both a camp co-director and string instructor.

Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Ithaca College where she studied cello with Elizabeth Simkin and Heidi Hoffman. She received a Master of Music Education degree from The Hartt School of Music where she studied cello with Mihai Tetel and was music education graduate assistant to Dr. Joshua A. Russell.

Emily is thrilled to be returning to NEMC as an instructor this year in the Prelude String Orchestra Camp.  She has such fond memories of her time as a camper in 1997 and 1998.  A New England native, Emily now lives in Manlius, NY where she enjoys spending time cooking, hiking, and making music with her twin boys, Elliott and Aidan.
