Snow Pond Community Arts is seeking a violin instructor for individual lessons as well as for our Strings at School program in Central Maine elementary schools.The successful candidate will: 

  • be qualified to teach all skill levels, with an emphasis on experience with beginning students.
  • create a motivational and nurturing learning environment
  • possess a teaching philosophy aligned with our focus on the development of the physical, creative, emotional, and social well being of the student
  • enjoy program development and collaboration

Snow Pond Community Arts offers individual piano, voice and guitar instruction for learners of all ages and ability levels. We also partner with community centers throughout the Kennebec Valley area to offer arts and music based programs at no charge to students and their families.

Our teaching faculty is a diverse collection of some of the most enthusiastic, talented, and creative musicians in central Maine.  All of our faculty employ a teaching philosophy focused on the development of the physical, creative, emotional, and social well-being of each student.

Snow Pond Community Arts is located on the beautiful lakeside campus of Snow Pond Center for the Arts in Sidney, Maine.  We share our facilities with other Snow Pond Center for the Arts programs, New England Music Camp, and the Maine Arts Academy.

Snow Pond Community Arts aspires to provide high-quality, inspirational music instruction for teens and adults, all abilities, and all financial circumstances in central Maine. We believe the study of music is an essential element of education for all students, and we strive to make motivational and nurturing music instruction accessible to all who desire to learn.
